Gain waveform image in SONAR

Wondering if this is different in new SONAR compared to X3.
When using gain for adjusting audio clip automation levels does the waveform image correspond to the boosts or cuts?

No. You always see the "native" waveform until you render the clip.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!
