Garage Band now the Facebook of music (iLike) - WTF

All,

Just picked this up, I thought the Garage Band site was fine but now it's turned into bloody Facebook ....... is this a sell-out ?

Can't find any of my old stuff either ....and I wasn't really looking for more friends ...bloody Americans.

Don't really know what to say....just annoyed

Garage Band ceased to be about a month ago.

Just as well...that's probably lost you a few thousand.

Garage Band sent an e-mail around not that long ago to all of its users explaining its demise and that it would soon cease to exist.

GB had partnered with iLike ... and by default, started iLike pages (with songs) for registered GB members probably more than 2 years ago now ... and at that time they communicated that fact with their users.

You may be able to find your older material on an iLike page (which may exist whether you know it or not) if you google your band name.

... and I certainly don't appreciate this comment:

    ...bloody Americans.
