Garritan Orchestra 4 and Sonar X1 problem

I just got the latest version of Garritan Orchestra. I have it running on X1 and for some odd reason when I insert the synth into my DAW the Aria player now appears completely greyed out and I cannot manipulate any of its controls. It was working fine this morning and now isn't. As far as I know I have not changed anything. I've tried everything. It does the same thing if I open Sonar 8.5 too. Any thoughts? I am running Windows 7, loads of ram, gigs of space etc. Brand new computer.

     Did you activate it using the product key? It sounds like it was in demo mode and that the demo expired. Just a thought.

    Does it run in standalone mode ?.

    Sounds odd, maybe the activation as MarioD says ?.

    yes it works in stand alone version. I downloaded the latest update and so far it is now working. not greyed out anymore. we'll see.

    did you re-scan the vsts?

    Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

    This is becoming infuriating. Now the image is constantly greyed out. Everything is activated properly. I have re-scanned all vst plugin folders. The string sounds are heard loud and clear once programmed, but the image is not seen and of cours I cannot manipulate any controls. This very strange. Any other suggestions?
