The packaging is fine. Nobody is buying sonar because of the color of the box. Well at least I hope not.

NO FOAM ???? Oh FFS ! typical amateur DAW packaging.

Amazing. Rocking up saying people should be fired and then complaining about courtesy.

Those box pics look like a digitally rendered place-holder.  I would say they are not the finished product and that the Tascam branded artwork is still being completed.

Good call in bringing Pro Channel into Studio. 

Is it the full implementation of PC? IOW all PC modules that are included in X2? If so I may well just go that route as I, like many, have nearly all the new (to X3) 3rd party stuff and that which I don't have is not all that enticing to me.

You just get the EQ and Soft tube saturation knob.
 
The new updated EQ is Producer Exclusive at this time.

I haven't had a box for years - yearly upgrades have been downloads - so it's irrelevant.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I like the design.
