Get the Paste feature truly working smarter, not harder, Part 2: Pasting a Group of Clips

I've been using Cakewalk since the Pro Audio 6 days. That's at least 15 years. So I've been through, like, 8 versions of the top program offering and at least 6 versions of Windows, yet none of the DAW software versions has ever gotten the following consistently right and it blows my mind: Pasting a group of clips to where the group is truly supposed to go!

Say I tell the program to paste the group to 18.01. That just doesn't always happen. In fact, the destination often is some weird value. Say, 18.02.333. I think the program doesn't understand how to deal with a group of clips. Do I have to say this is frustrating? Please teach it how to play nice with a user wants to copy a groups of clips.
