Getting 24-bit audio from my Delta 44

I'm running Cakewalk Sonar 2.2 and I can't select the driver bit depth to be over 16, even though I'm using a 24 bit Delta 44 soundcard. I can select the default settings for new projects to be 24 bit at 96000 Hz. When I try set the driver bit depth at 24, it gives me a message that the default audio settings aren't compatible with one or more of my sound cards. I also have a Creative Labs Soundblaster Live installed that's 16 bit, but I don't have any of it's drivers selected in Sonar. I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Update your Delta 44 Driver. Are you using WDM?

BTW, are you looking for another Delta 44 card? I ugraded to a Motu Traveler and have the card just laying around.

Is your onboard sound card listed in Sonar's Options/Audio/Drivers? If so you need to deselect it, close and restart Sonar and then set your 44 to 24 bit. The 44 is great card for not much moneyI've had one for 4 years and it has been rock solid.

Thanks for the help. Shortly after posting, I was fiddling around with Sonar and changed the driver mode to ASIO, and so the next time I started up the program the driver bit depth was grayed in at 24 bit. I'd love to hook up another card to my computer, (joseph.barron), but I don't think I have the memory or processor power to keep up with 8 simultaneous inputs. Although, I am wondering how much you're asking for it?

Actually, after thinking about it, I'm going to put it on ebay. There are a number of them on there and they seem to be going for 50 to 100 used. So I'd like to see around 80 + shipping. But we'll see.
