Getting Guitar Tracks 4 for my old Lexicon Omega...thoughts?

Hello, new here. I have an old Lexicon Omega that Originally came with Pro Tracks Plus, and have been very happy with that system. I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 (before, it was XP) and am thinking of buying Guitar Tracks 4 so it will all work on the new OS. Any thoughts? My hope is that it will work as well together as before, and that i will have the ability to work with my old .cwp files on the new computer and new system. Thank you!

GTP4 can open .cwp files from older projects. The .cwp files only include project information, and pointers to your audio files, but not the actual audio files. Be sure to move those forward to the new machine.
If you still have the old PC, you might want to save your projects as .cwb (bundle files). These do include the audio.
You may still have to do some fiddling, but for the most part, you should be ok.
Be sure to update the Omega drivers for W7.

Robert, Thank you so much for the reply. I have the driver on the way, as also a copy of Cubase LE4 which they now include with the Omega, but I was hoping to keep a similar system to what I had, so I'm glad that this should work out with using GT4 instead of the Cubase. take care, Dave
