Getting Videos onto iPad....
Anyone here had any experience getting videos (in this case Groove3 tutorials) onto their iPad??. I'm going to be doing some traveling during the upcoming holidays and want to study my tutorials while I've got some so called "free time". But as I am an almost total Mac illiterate (even tho I have an iPad and iPhone) I'm not sure how to load my Groove3 videos onto my iPad. Any help will be greatly appreciated. And, yes, I can imagine how much that thrills ya!

I don't have an iPad, but I'm pretty sure it involves adding the videos to your iTunes library (on your computer), connecting your iPad to the computer, and then syncing iTunes to it. Something along those lines.

I think you have to put the videos into iTunes ...make sure when you sync your ipad to your computer that you have videos checked as to what you want synced And then sync away ol pal!!! http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2729 Your ol pal Mooch

And I thought this was going to be on of those video converter SPAM posts. The Groove 3 videos are MP4 format so they should work with iTunes.

I use an ap called AVPlayerHD, free from the itunes store or Filebrowser, again free from the itunes store. The AVPlayerHD is a breeze to use either via itune or through your internet browser Hope this helps

Alternatively: set up a Google Drive account, copy the mp4s there. Then make these files "Available Offline" on the Google Drive iPad app.

Well...here's what happened. I dragged and dropped my Groove3 folder into iTunes and it recognized and copied them as "TV Shows". Then I updated my iPad to the latest software and then synced it, which I thought would copy over all the videos...but it didn't. So I "ctrl-clicked" all the videos that showed up in iTunes and "drag and dropped" them onto my iPad. And they seemed to copy over. ONLY Three of them copied over intact fine. Amplitube, Izotope RX and Maschine. But all the others were just copied willy nilly into "Kontakt Explained"...TWICE!! So they were all there on the iPad. But in random order in one big file. So...I deleted those two files and drag and dropped each individual video from iTunes onto the iPad. Same thing. Two files labeled "Kontakt Explained" with everything in them. Perhaps I'll have to delete everything and start all over again...one video at a time. I've sent an email to Groove3 for help as well. I hate Apple.

I never successfully got any of my videos into either my Ipod or my Sansa Fuse.... it says "error...wrong video format" or some such garbage. I play them on my phone..... from Utube.

I only bought the 16GB iPad so this will be nice since it's not storing the videos onto the pad rather streaming from Google. Thanks for the idea. Of course this won't work if you don't have a wifi connection correct? I will probably either be home or at the girlfriends house which both have wifi but are they still accessible if say I was taking a drive to Florida and wanted to watch the vid's on the way? Mike

Use a video format converter to re- format your material to an Apple supported format. If you do have to convert the video, try 'Handbrake' on the PC. I have converted many teaching and entertainment videos for viewing on my iPad with success. It retains chapters and such. It is a slow process converting but very handy to have once done and transferred to the iPad.

Well, I started from scratch and did more or less as both zungle and the nice folks at groove3 suggested and I actually got 5 out of the ten videos to go on correctly...but the other five are all still randomly strewn out in two videos labled Kontakt Explained. No biggie I guess as I can scroll through the TOC and watch what I want. Plus it's too late now to fool with it anymore. But I'll say again...now that I've owned both an iPhone and iPad for a couple of years...I've learned to despise Apple almost as much as AT&T.

Pal.. I have been flirting with getting an iPad for a couple of years and have not yet decided. If they are as bad as AT&T ...bugger them. I used to have no problems with ATT, now I drop calls and have poor reception at my home. I am seriously considering a change to Verizon. As for a tablet, I figure I am goin to just have to take a leap of faith. The Android tablets look good, the Windows tablets look good and the iPad looks good. I don't know but I guess we will go with iPads and iPhones... these Blackberry Pearls are falling apart. I literally have Scotch tape holding the trackball surround in place. I have to tape it and cut around the ball with a utility knife. I have, use, and love my Kindle. I guess it is time to go with the flow and spend some money with Apple and IK... but I am really nervous about getting something expensive that wont do what I want it to do without spending more and more money. The iPad seems to be surrounded with accessories that I would want and/or need. I just hope Verizon has better coverage than AT&T. Good luck with your videos. Julien

Mike You can save any file to the local hard drive, on a case by case basis. Which is perfect
