Getting crahses when swapping cwp projects with band member X3e

Hey y'all.  So i am wondering if there is something i need to consider when loading projects created on other DAWs.  The first thing i noticed is that the other DAW (my keyboard players) has more midi ports than my DAW.  I have a RME UCX as does my keyboard player, but he also has an extra midi device that X3e asks for when it can't find it on my DAW.  Should i select none, or my second UCX midi port (i only use one of them at this time)?  Or should i select my second UCX port?  Also, i am getting crashes and am wondering if this could be related to differences between DAWs that i have not considered.  TIA.

When you say "other DAW" do you mean X3e on another machine or a different DAW, version of SONAR, etc.?

When opening a cwp with different hardware setups, SONAR will tell you it cannot find it and give you alternatives on your machine to choose from. If you are not recording MIDI you can say none (you can edit/play existing data).

If you are talking SONAR versus another brand of DAW, this is more complex.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
