Getting tempo, "from" and "thru" points via control surface SDK

Hello devs,
I've looked high and low but can't figure out if there is a way to extract the following pieces of information from the control surface SDK: tempo, "from" and "thru" selection points. I suspect there is no way to get at those values but wonder if anyone has come up with a work-around?
