Getting the most out of Session Drummer
Hi guys,
I think I've discovered what Session Drummer is about and how I should be using it.
This is my basic understanding...
Step 1: I choose my drum kit (tight or roomy sounding/brushes etc)
Step 2: I build a 'skeleton' drum beat, in other words the basic kick and snare (or something along those lines) that I want for my song.
Step 3: I choose a preset from session drummer (A/B/C/D etc) and it blends in automatically with my skeleton to create a fuller, less home-made sounding drum track.
Finding Step 3 was a real Eureka moment today :)
I now have some questions around this...
1) How can I record/capture the blended part?
2) There are some parts where session drummer adds a fill in the wrong place - how can I keep the bits I want and remove the bits i don't?
3) what other tips do you have for getting the most out of session drummer?
Cheers guys.
