Getting there... getting there...
I've been learning songs of some friends that I've been recording for the past five years or so. They said they need a bassist so, I'm playing my midi guitar with a bass patch over some of the old recordings.
I'm using Melodyne to figure out the chords and to warn me when the changes are coming. It's better than sheet music!
I'm doubtful I'll get the job because they really want someone with a double bass etc, and I don't own one and don't have room in my little house for one. But, wouldn't it be cool if they were down with me just playing my strat?

It's slow. I mixed the bass part pretty low so they don't feel I'm imposing. I just love the layers stuff. I'm getting better at using it and finding it really does help. And I love practicing with the Record Light lit up. It keeps track of the hours. :-)
I know the strat isn't the image they're going for. Maybe if I wore a plaid shirt and a straw hat?

I make some videos.
This one
shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
