Getting tired of the Olympics??

After having some medical problems, I think watching the Olympics is not holding my interest that much anymore. Just wondered how you feel about it? I know some of you have been working and not able to view it as much, as some who were able to view it more, but I am glad it is the last day, and probably soon will be forgotten with all the other ideas going on in the USA.

I've really enjoyed it. Haven't seen as much of it as I would have liked.

I've really enjoyed it but the commercials sure irritate...takes
three hours to watch an hours worth so I'm off and on and watching
    as I can handle.

We're spoiled over here, 'cos it's all on the BBC, no ads. They set up loads of channels on the 'red button' too, so you could watch pretty much any sport all day if you wanted. The coverage has been superb.

I enjoyed wimmens beach volleyball, tennis, wimmens gymnastics, archery, shooting, and what I saw of synch swimming. I managed to miss the Netherlands wimmens field hockey team... but yes, I am glad it is over. We watched The Godfather I, II, and II yesterday. It took almost all day but BAM... it was good watching.

I think watching too much olympic coverage caused me to miss the IPO of Manchester United. I might have bought into that!

With Comcast there were online live feeds of everything but there were LOTS of commercials... every little break was filled with them, it was so annoying I didn't watch much online. Then the "prime time" NBC coverage really SUQ! They would play 2/3 of an event then switch to something else, then later back for the end of the event you were really interested in... all to keep you watching so they could throw more commercials at you. A few years ago I was in Germany. I liked the way they did commercials. They might have 15 or 20 minutes of them but they were all aired between shows, not during them.. plus it was really cool watching John Wayne, sitting his horse and speaking German.

Considering I was really not interested before it all started, I've watched far too much of it.

No adverts for us, and as was mentioned above, the BBC ran 24 additional channels (+ another 24 for HD viewers) you could, if you wanted to, not miss a thing.

One of the best games ever. A few frineds of mine went up last week and they were blown away by how well organised the whole thing was. The only cockup was hoisting the wrong Korean flag right at the start.

    Hi,

I only watched the soccer games ... specially since the CHB was not anywhere in sight in any of the competitions ... I was looking for the Dufus Wrestling, or the StinkBomb Synchronized Running, but these never showed uo ... so ... that was that for me.

And, Mexico deserved that game and then some ... Brazil did not play well in the back and was not sure what to do, and panicked!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

I was fortunate enough to watch a good deal of it.  The only thing I did miss out on was actually the Beach Volleyball, as there was other stuff I was more interested in, I feel cheated now.

I'm a fan of the cycling so I watched most of that and a good chunk of the British medals came from there too.  The final kilometers of the women's road race was the most enthralling with the Dutch girl pulling away from the British girl to cross the line.

    It's been a fantastic games but I'm glad it's done with now I feel like I need a rest...lol.

I watched more  than I usually do.  I'm not sure if I was getting tired of it, but it seemed like fewer events held my interest the last few days.  It may just be scheduling too.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Didn't watch it much. the occasional "gold moment" or "agony of defeat" as reported on the news.

Same thing with the end cap ceremonies.

    Did I miss anything?

    Did I miss anything?

A Bulgarian shot-putter tested positive for being a Martian.

A family of albino badgers were found living in the long jump pit.

The Czechs won the clay pigeon shooting by using a Gatling Gun. Nothing in the rules said they couldn't.

The photo finish in the women's 1500 metres turned out to be conjoined twins.
