I thought this was very good. The buildups and instrumentation was very well done. My only crit would be, where's the golden mean? There were lots of buildups but none of them led into a huge fanfare where all the instruments played their perspective melodies at the same time. This could take this piece from ordinary to extraordinary. Either way, well done!!!

Dave - this is REALLY good - love the sound you're getting there from EW. I have to agree with Robert (guitarpima), tho, that the buildups never erupt into a "fanfare" and I would love to hear it do that. there at 2:15 would be a great place to really break out, but its dynamic level drops instead. great work - mix and sounds are awesome.

this is brilliant as it is, superbly orchestrated. you are very talented. i agree with the others that it sounds like a film score interlude. to me either needs the massive conclusion (as others have said), or needs a change of pace, maybe some fast woodwinds or pizzicato strings. i loved the key change at around 2'40 which was very welcome. to work as a standalone tone poem it would need a few other elements as I said, but this is anyways amazing.

Really well done. As a soundtrack you could really go in a lot of directions with this piece, an exploding fanfare as mentioned, or, a more introspective examination of an individual or group where explosive dynamics would be out of place. The fact you can go either direction I think is a testament to the quality of the track.

This to me sounded like it should be a soundtrack for a film, as noted by others it could perhaps do with a little development or something just ti ice it out. Nicely done though well orchestrated and composed piece. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the like

+1 to the above - it pretty much sounds film-ready. Really nice job on orchestration and articulations. And FWIW, the result really suits the title well.

Agree with the above comments. What I'd like to add is that I think this would benefit from a wider range of intensity. Yes you have good variation with bigger ans smaller parts of the song clear defined, but to my ears the instruments themselves sound fairly similar through out the song. Particularly I think you could have the strings go way softer at times. Just my thoughts, it's still a good piece of music. :)

Great piece Dave! I agree with Tapsa that a little dynamic variation would really make it come alive, but it is very well composed, IMO. Regards, Dan
