fantastic, upbeat and fresh.

the Mrs. Daryl Greenway has a most lovely voice- the auto-tune is at a perfect level of tolerance that allows natural tonality of her voice to shine through.  also gives a modern flavor to a bit of an 80s sound going on..kinda like Animotion meets HUman League

digging the harmonies and how they work with the hook.

this is a great song to play in the car with the top down on a warm sunny day.  impressed, mate!

-Daren :)

& mix sounds sweet - listening to it on set of M-Audios

Nice and distinct vocal - both performance and recording.  I might double the tracks.  It sounds like she could nail double tracking.  Glad you stopped yourself from autotuning - a couple of spots jumped out that would have done it on a typical pop tune.

Excellent arrangement.  Nice separation on the instruments and parts.  Just well done.  Props to the missus, and to the lesser half, too ;-)

Daryl, sorry I'm late to the party here. This was great! Your wife is an awesome singer and this is a catchy song that's gonna stick in my head all night now. LOL!

A few little mix things? Nothing bad, I promise. :) The song is so killer, I think it can benefit from having a stronger kick drum with a little more thump force to enhance the dance groove the song has. What you have is good...but I'm talking about one of those kicks you use to really rattle some glass. I think this would kill with a kick like that. Subjective of course, but that's what I'm feeling...but again, what you have is fine. I've been working a lot on this genre with some pretty big dudes....and one of the things that always has to be there (especially when you have a hook as good as this) is a "thumper" rattling the walls. :)

Lead vocal was really nicely eq'd. You could probably get a little more low mids going on though just to thicken her up a little bit. That's one thing with female voices....I find that if I don't use the right low mids, they just don't quite have enough impact. They always drive me crazy because I don't want them to be too piercing, yet I don't want them to be too warm and bottomy. You gave a really good balance of everything in this though...great candidate for a mastering engineer to do his/her magic. Very well done brother, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

-Danny

Danny - thanks for the listen mate - I'll pass on the vocal compliments :)
I honestly agree with you on the kick - this is the 'dance-lite' mix to appease the Mrs. If it was up to me, there was going to be a dub-step style drop in the section with lead guitar. Maybe another time :)

Twisted6s - thank you very much

Mike - thanks - I really appreciate it

You have definitely hit your stride.  This is my favorite of all of yours so far.  I think the autotune is a very effective tool on this one.  Original too.  Great! Merry Christmas.

Great work Mr and Mrs Daryl,

I listened a few times in a row. I thought the singing, the production and the tune were first rate.

Excellent job.

All the best,

sja
