I have a Honda Fit, that's what I'm sitting in, in my avatar. I got it that day. They can go that fast if you use the slap shifters! HEHE! J/K. Fastest I've had it up to was 95 and it felt like 50. I love my Fit. That's what my wife hit the dear with a couple weeks ago, it's getting a new hood as we type. The stereo in those things are killer too for a factory setup.

I wonder how that could happen? That's pretty cool. I'm thinking maybe if you got stuck in something like snow, or mud, and revved the engine, but how would that show up on GPS?

Take it to Bonneville and let 'er rip!

Speaking of Bonneville, saw a bit of a movie called "The World's Fastest Indian" (I think) a few weeks ago. The part where he's trying out his bike with lead ballast and the cop stops him.
"Do you have any idea how fast you were going?"
    "Oh, about 170."

I've heard that some Car Rental companies have been issuing speeding tickets based on the data generated by the GPS!  Maybe a cop doesn't have to see you.  If it's your personal GPS, at least it will be more difficult for them to get the data.  Hopefully, the cops won't be looking for the data unless you did something else to attract their attention.

I thought it was a cool quirk .....

When I travel to other parts of the country by air, I carry this GPS in my bag and use it. The rental companies like to tack on about $10 a day for using their GPS.

I'm gonna leave the numbers in it until my daughter returns from the beach and ask her about it.  I'll do it one night when my wife is there too...

Ah, so that's how it's done.  I was curious.  Yes, it's an interesting situation.  It's also a good gimmick to throw off the data miners.  I'm glad it will entertain your family and friends, too.  It entertained me.
