This is quite pleasant, however the mix is messy there is little space for the different instruments to sit, the kit sounds strange, too wide and some bits out of place.

Would be interested to know what you are using for drums etc. the guitar sounds quite cool, real?

The guitar is definitely real.  The drums are from Superior Drummer.  Maybe not so superior, eh?

Just pulling your leg about the guitar.  I did like the tune, however the drums need a little more time on them, do not rely to heavily on the presets they are designed to show off the kit at there best which is not always the best for the mix.  I use Superior Drummer all the time and it is great but equally I do not use any presets.  Also do not forget to think about the perspective of your listeners is it a left or a right handed drummer, SD is setup to hear as if you are a right handed drummer behind the kit, this can be switched in the mixer with one click.

Just spend a little more time on the mix use EQ to open up space and use panning to create position.

I appreciate your giving it a listen.  It's oh so easy to get very parochial about your own music.  I probably listen to it too much.  But based on the comments you made, it made me start thinking so I listened to this song and others Im working on, and they all seem a bit cluttered in the middle.  At least I have something to do now.  LOL

yea cool song...like the phrasing and your vox...mix needs some work...the vox needs some compression work as it sounds grainy...I think the bass needs to set behind the 6 string a bit more...like the B3 sneaking in there...that should come up a bit more....and everything seems to sit in the middle of the mix.

this is a damn good song...screams of Steve Miller.

    good work!

I can't help you with the mix, but I certainly do like the song.  You've got a great voice and play well. :-)

Great intro, catchy. The frist line of the lyric can be related to, so you have a good start in the song. I think the mix, is fine. It's the sound you want, and you should leave well enough alone. The song is to long, but if thats what you want. Love the lyric and you voice brings out a good tune

i'm hearin a little Paul Simon vibe in there somewhere. Like the tune and delivery. Could use some tweakin on the drums and mix. A lot of lip smackin type freqs goin on with the voc. Maybe your compression attack is too high lettin all those sibulents thru and smashing the body of the voc.. shorten the attack and ease up on the threshhold.
