Go Go and I went into town and assembled a bicycle.
This bike became available in a Sonic Blue color so I got one for my wife to surprise her. I have an older brown one... It's color is known as "Beef Gravy Brown". Now we can ride together with similar gear. Go Go and I went in to assemble it because the shop lets me do it myself. Highlights of the day were when a father and his young daughter came in... and the girl had a life like mechanical cat toy that moved, blinked, and meowed. I had to stare at for a few moments to determine it wasn't real. She put it on the counter and we got her a stool to sit on and she sat there and guarded the cat while GO Go sat by her side and stared intently... for something like 30 minutes. I kept a close eye on him too. It was surreal... and made us all laugh. And then I reminded myself to build the bike. :-)

I hate to say this Mike but you forgot the pedals. Did you challenge her to a race? If so that's a smart move.

That's just one of my tricks. Yes that's just a stock photo... and bikes like that don't come with pedals any more... she did pick out a pair of pedals she wanted... so she gets to use both feet. She's a former State Champion... so I have to use all my tricks... just to keep up. :-)

I don't see any cables extending from the break handles. I suppose your wife could drag her feet on the ground when she needs to stop. Must be a Florida thing .

You also forgot about the breaks. I can see the brake and gear cables.

:-) Back when I worked the shop I led a weekly ladies ride where I basically got to hang out with every bicycling lady in town... and we had lots of good clean fun riding places their bicycle stud boy friends wouldn't take them. At some point it became so popular that the tradition was for the boys ride to come looking for us for a mid ride meet up. We'd usually find a spring hole to swim in while we picnicked. Great memories. best, mike

available in a Sonic Blue color so I got one for my wife to surprise her. If my Andy came home saying "Honey, I have a suprise for you..." and it turned out to be a bike, I know who would be the most suprised!!

What are you suggesting? I of course meant that I'd be pleasently suprised that he'd bought me a gift....

I just repaired the 4 bikes in my shed collecting dust... Dragged them out, cleaned them up and made repairs and adjustments so they are once again ride-able.

The cooler weather is right around the corner Herb. :-) Bapu... Go Go gets to run ahead on the single track trails. We went out tonight and with the comparable bikes... well let's just say I couldn't keep up.
