God I love old people.
I'm kind of old - 55.
But, today, I had lunch with a gentleman that was 90. A total powerhouse of a businessman - built shopping centers - owned multiple auto dealerships.
This guy was humble - I admire that so much in successful people.
This guy had stories that were just so interesting. Lunch took 3 hours - we got along like bros.
I just find people with that kind of history very intersting - and I love to spend time with them.

i thought this was gonna be about the Stones....  but yeah, as a nurse most of the people i meet are older, some great accumulation of knowledge and stories. some curmudgeonly old cranks too, mind...

I was shopping the other day and a young couple was mocking an elderly woman. I was horrified. Americans have no respect for the older generations. It's sad. Your a good dude Clean.

Yes, but they still smell funny. And so will you, when your organs begin to leak a bit. 'Old guy urine smell' is just your gallbladder, IIRC. Great story. Unfortunately, he's all too rare these days. I see people *my* age already going for all sorts of easy opt-outs, stuff just one step short of getting crutches. And they're not even 50 yet.... They somehow seem to think that in order to get old, you have to stop doing things alltogether when you're young. Kinda 'saving energy for later'. Reminds me of when people freeze, that they think they're just tired, and can take a nap, and they will feel better afterwards. Well, sortof.

I look back on my perceptions of how knowledgeable I thought I was at various points in my life and I realize that there are many things only time can bring you. It is a shame that just as man mature to knowing the meaning of life, life expectancy declines sharply.
It also sucks that the young whipper snappers get 3 months off in summer and are bored. Yet we old farts never get any time off until its time to get euthanasia.

That's a bit of an exaggeration don't you think? Do you personally know all Americans? You don't know me. For example if I said all the English have bad teeth, you would be offended. But that generalization is no less credible than yours. edit: Or maybe you wouldn't be offended by that since your American. lol I saw liverpool, but I think I was looking at the post above yours. Oh well, it's still a sweeping generalization, even if it is about your own country.
