Going mobile

Looking for a nice two channel interface for sonar/win 10. This will be for a lapop rig. USB is preferred. Also looking for a portable flat screen. Thoughts?

If it's not in the mix, it's not in the master

If I was in the market for this I'd buy the Tascam us2x2.  It has both USB and a power supply. Don't buy an interface that only uses USB power.

But it also depends on what your doing. If your going to be playing and using soft synths live you might want lower latency so would be looking at RME or Motu stuff.

Why would this one not offer low latency?

I'm in need of two mic pre's basically and the ability to hook up monitors and head phones

Go With RME BabyFace/BabyFAce Pro if your funds allow it. It's REALLY good

I'm uber mobile. The Focusrites are super affordable and totally reliable. I have the 18i8 for more extensive use of my outboard gear in my home studio and the 2i2 for sitting at Starbucks or wherever.

I also use the Focusrite VRM when out and about.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.
