Going wrestling tonight!

I've worked on the edge of a boxing ring, but I've never been to wrestling event.

Yikes... I'm a little nervous.

:-)

Hey Bapu.... think good thoughts for me!

Working on a documentary with a semi-retired famous wrestler at ringside for a "special" appearance.

We sort of expect him to jump over the ropes at some point... we may follow. :-0

It's gonna be a new experience!

    best regards,
    mike

    It was wild.

We ended up in the ring... and at the end there was a brawl that involved all the wrestlers running out of the locker rooms... and it got really crazy when the entire audience jumped down to the floor and joined in.

I thought it was sorta fun... one of our camera guys is still tying to figure out what happened.

Good fun and something I've never experienced.

    best regards,
    mike

Oh and  just to make it weirder... we started the day by going to a old Florida tourist Gator Farm to video some cover and B-roll for the interviews that have been done... before it was over we were inside the fence feeding alligators hunks of meat with the animal's caretakers.

I almost forgot about that part... it seems so long ago.

    best regards,
    mike

Back in the early 90s we took the kids to a small wrestling show in a gym. It was in White, GA. There were some of the bigger stars from the WWF "Buff" Bagwell, Booker-T, and others of the time. It was your regular werstling show and we all had fun but one thing happened that was absolutely hilarious.
You know how they use the gimmick where one of the "bad guys" manages to get something in his hand, hits one of the good guys, and "knocks him out" then he will turn toward the audience and not so subtly hide the "weapon" in his speedos. Well, it happened at this show. Of course we knew it was all part of the act but this wiry little old 90 lb woman with a few teeth in the front row jumped up and started yelling at the referee, "HE'S GOT SOMETHING IN HIS PANTS, HE'S GOT SOMETHING IN HIS PANTS!!!!" She was as serious as a heart attack, I still laugh when I think about it. He's got something in his pants... really??

I hope you can post something I'd like to see it, I bet you really did have a good time, laff.

I wonder whatever became of Mr. Wrestling #2... he was the MAN! Dusty Rhodes wasn't too bad in his day either. I bet those old wrestlers live in a world of hurt everyday.

The people certainly enjoy it to the fullest.

I heard someone explain that Dusty Rhodes is now a story line writer in the business.

All the older guys are definitely limping and hunched over. Even the young guys were hurting at the end of the match.

    best regards,
    mike
