Golden Record
Voyager 1 Golden Record - Launched 1977 (12,000,000,000 - 12 billion miles from Earth now)(25,000,000,000,000 - 25 trillion miles to nearest Star - Alpha Centauri which it won't pass by) will be 44,000 years before - well coming across nothing but Space-Time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELnn9V01EiIBerry's recording of the song was included on the Voyager Golden Record, attached to the Voyager spacecraft as representing rock and roll, one of four American songs included among many cultural achievements of humanity. (about 50 minutes in on the Golden Record) (Recorded in 1958 - written in 1955) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_B._Goode Well, that recording to me is sounding well - thin. Only made it through about 55 minutes of the total over 5 hours of sounds from Planet Earth so far, listen to more later. 36-37 years in Outer Space travelin' out there in the Void. Just left the Solar System into Interstellar Space. According to one person's comment, the record is suppose to last a billion years. I don't know right now if I am just to shrug my shoulder and wonder if at all why they put the sounds they did at that time on that Golden Record.

A BBC documentary about Voyager 1 passing out of our solar system, and still transmitting back, is still one of the most moving things I've ever seen.

Payola? Or just the natural inclination to think stuff that seems sort of important to you will seem important to someone far away in space or time. http://www.techeblog.com/...time-capsule-from-1913

If you wish to send Voyager I "Merry Christmas" you will have to send the message 18 hours before Christmas Day.

I suppose also (which I do) is skip around the video by moving the red circle of the time in the video hoping the streaming catches up to where you want to move it to.

I remember when they did that. They were deciding between Chuck Berry and The Beatles. Wrong decision IMO.

Maybe it's time for a sequel?!??!!??? Then bapu could be on the record. Ya neva no. That might just invoke a response from any buddy out there who might just be listening. On 2nd thought, isn't it bad enough we invented the boom box on wheels? No street or neighborhood is safe anymore from the relentless incessant pounding of sub woofers adding to the ever pervasive collective noise pollution emanating from planet Earth. Now we're takin' it to outer space. Is there nowhere left in the universe where I can get some peace & quiet? Not only that, but who's gonna go get the heap o' space junk when it craps out and starts wandering aimlessly about?!
