Gone or hiding?
I Have two issues with my Sonar Platinum. My new project templates (two I made) and the templates that came with with Platinum are missing. Also, the Pro Channel templates (Acoustic guitar, base, vocals, Lead guitar, ETC.... are also missing....where did they go? Thanks for any help.

SONAR looks in the path defined in Preferences > File > Folder Locations "Templates" for project templates. The ProChannel presets location is in "ProChannelStripPresetFolder" in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Platinum\UserPaths in the registry.

Thanks scook for that but that info means nothing to a guy who has basic computer skills. I guess i'll wait until Cakewalk gets their act together.

Launch SPlat and go to Preferences, then click File Folder Locations which will list where various types of files are stored. Unless you've manually changed the location - also known as the path - of certain file types like Project Templates, the default locations will be shown in the list. Make note of the path. It'll be something like c:\cakewalk\...\ That's where SPlat looks. Next you can do a Windows Explorer search say for Sonar Template Files, which end in .CWT. In the search box you could enter *.cwt and see what Windows finds. The '*' is a wildcard. Look for the names of the Templates you created and note the location of those files. See if those locations match the default location you noted earlier in Preferences. I'll stop there for now and wait to see if you're following me....

These files are not programs that run, they're more like saved settings, don't click on them or try to open them. I'm guessing the locations of certain files are not where Sonar is looking for them or expects them to be, not sure why. From Windows Explorer, do you see a C:\Cakewalk Content\Platinum folder?
