Gonna add some hihat and cymbals today

Been playing with a cover song for me and my brothers to put together.

I got rid of a drum set (Bartered for a strat and a 12 string)

So this leaves me without the wonderful acoustic kit.  Today Im going to try what Ive been wanting to mess with for a while.

Ive got this song well under way and want to add some cymbals and HiHats to it so Im going to get my trusty 5 gallon bucket out, cram a mic in it and get some good signals to convert to midi and convert with SD3.  Shouldoughta be interesting.

The bucket is a good idea if you can get it into a good playing position.

I sometimes just play the table...lol.

Cymbal crashes and stuff I prefer to put them in with the keyboard as the song plays back, until I've got them pretty much where I want them and tighten them up from there.

Yup, thats what I ended up doing/trying.  Then I ran into one of those famous Audio Snap/Transient Marker bugs as seen posted upstairs.  I might have to do the keyboard thing as well.  The micing table hits works good for getting the intensity to play into it for me when it works.  I dont know how to program the intensity thing on the PCR500 and dont have the patients to learn it.
