Let me be the first to comment:

I love the ambience that is set up here where the intro storm sound effects meet with the guitar and the trance-like guitar lines continue throughout. The guitar is very well recorded. The storm sounds at the end were nice too and I would have liked to hear them in the background near the middle of the tune to add more suspense and dimension. Nice work, Rik!

I love your chord progression.  At first I thought the rain was hiss, but now I see it wasn't.  This is very nice, keep them coming.

Rik,  Your really getting your game on.  Consistently nice stuff.  Do you mic your guitar or DI?  Amp?  You get a nice acoustic tracks, whatever you're doing works very well.  I would have a blast working a coffee house with you!

Very nice Rik! A very nice and fluid bit of work there. I sense the Villa Lobos again. I look forward to more of your fine playing.

BTW - Is that your guitar on you avatar? Augustine blues? lol. When I played I used Savarez. They were tricky because of the gritty treble strings but I like the sound more.

    Well played!

Hi Rik - Storm over the high country with a mountain torrent gushing past stepping stones. That's what I heard. The power of music. I am most definitely under your spell! Another great piece of music.

Really enjoyed this - atmospheric and wonderful, unpredictable, chord progressions.

My personal preference would have been for there to be a nice melody over the top of this... but then again I like it as it is so just ignore me!

    Cheers,
    Terry.

Hey, Rik!  I remember you.  :)  And this is beautiful!  I guess I agree that a little more of that storm sound throughout would add to the nice atmosphere, but it's quite nice the way it is. The chord changes add to the storm idea.  Really nice.  :)

All it needs is a 1972-era Robert Plant wailing over the top of this about faeries and clover and it could be on Led Zeppelin IV

Fade-in requires some 'patience' ... but you warned us of minimalistics.

Rik, this is guitar ambience, essentially.

Reverb is lush, crisp, velvety, and perfect ... may I ask what you used?

While this is astonishing and pro on all levels, I'd probably have considered a lot more reverb fx's with your stuff (envelopes, reverb-types, etc.) ... to milk your acoustics into the rain.

Really great playing, Rik.  Great ambient tune.  Reminds me of a tune I wrote when my son was born. I used it as the soundtrack for the videos I made of him when he was just a baby.
