Very nice indeed. Mix sounds lovely through headphones, warm and clear. Beautiful guitar work, and everything else is right on the money too.

I echo the comments of others, great job, but I'd push the vocals up or at least duck the bass a little during the vocal lines. holy crap, great guitar!!!

wow, kind of amazed at the comments :). When at first it went unnoticed for days I figured it's a slow blues and probably put many to sleep. I did intentionally try to slip in a few "odd" notes to make it a little less standard, but not too much. On the vocal I tried an Oktava mk 219, which I've had for years and never really used it on anything. I did find it to be a bit harsh in the upper mids and really cut those freqs with the eq. And yes it sounds nice a warm to me now. Just really wanted to say thanks and glad you like it.

The drums are great. That level of detail & feel takes a lot of work. Are you a drummer by chance? FWIW, your "virtual" drummer is either left-handed, or your drum perspective is from sitting behind the kit. My first instrument was drums and when I lay out a MIDI kit, I still prefer placing the pieces like I'm sitting behind the kit.

Not a drummer no, but I ask them lots of questions and mostly I've discovered the value of ghost notes, and I really do go through and make some sort of decision on nearly every hit, be it velocity or a slight offset. Also I really vary the articulations on the hats, making use of every one I can in a very random way, but not automatic, yet listening to be sure I like them.

No, and I usually do use a different verb on vocals. I use the Lexicon Pantheon with a big hall, which I often like on my lead guitars, big long tails but not too loud, and don't like that on vocals so much... too washy. This time though its the lexy on both, and that also both are sent to the BT Tempo delay. more send from the guitar than the vox. Snare and Toms are sent to the lexi too. This is a pretty slow song so there's room for those tails

Very cool. I've listened to this several times. Each time, I hear something new. I love that opening Jeff Beckish riff, and the changes in voicing and inflection throughout the song. And that soulful organ. This is slow, and long, but you manage to keep us listening. Nicely done. I can't give you anything constructive on the mix. It sounds pretty darn good from here.

Nice tune to listen to at 4AM. Yeah like all, I love your guitar. The whole thing sounds really comfortable. I'm on phones due to the hour and the bass sounds nice. I want to listen after the wife gets up because I'm wondering if the bass isn't goin to have a bit of a rumble. Sure sounds nice now. Keep 'em comin' Wayne. You are definitely playing in my wheelhouse.

Guitar work as everyone has said is excellent. In my personally opinion I would have ducked the bass (my jbl and monroe eggs give it a little rumble) and bring your vocal up a little. I really enjoyed that song and your vocals too!
