Google Chrome Is Making Me Googly Eyed

I know there were early issues with the forum and folks getting signed on to it. I missed out on some of that info I think....I'm having issues with Google Chrome and this forum. I'm registered with Cakewalk to be on the forums, but when I try to make a post it asks me to log on....well dangit I'm already logged on, but I don't mind, so I log on again then then it tells me the page can't be found and I never get logged on...and if you can imagine a Dog who had hold of it's own tail and is going in circles...that's me trying to sign on with Google Chrome. After a few times around I got dizzy and gave up...so now I'm using IE and every minute I'm on here I worry about it crashing my computer. I'm probably missing something simple.

I hate to be gone for awhile and then show up with a problem....sorry I can't get around these parts as often anymore. Good to see the same crew hanging around!!

Why do you worry about IE crashing your computer?

The main problem with Chrome as I see it is its basic incompatibility with the internet.

Now some, for example Google, might not see this as a fundamental flaw, but instead as an exciting and innovative bold next step in networked computing.

Others, such as myself, would consider this to be the very definition of the word 'fail'.

IMHO, both Firefox and IE are better alternatives.

Sorry you're having issues with GoogleyWoogley Chrome on these forums.

I used Chrome, but also use F/Fox and so far its been okay, occasionally still get some glitches due to the actual forum software and its anti-spam features. Though I've never had log in/out issues at all, could be something else about Chrome and the type of Security/add-ons installed on your computer.  Did you try disabling add-ons on Cakewalk (site-wide) only and see how that goes. If issues still persist, I don't know what else to do short of adding Cakewalk (site-wide) to your trusted list (by-pass security/Chrome), or try F/Fox.

I've seen browser specific issues like this (404's, large delays between pages) resolved by updating the network adapter drivers. If the network adapter is on board the motherboard you can also try updating your chipset drivers and BIOS.

It can also be caused by your virus scanner, or DNS not working correctly (try openDNS), DNS issues though would effect multiple browsers.

If it's just log in and log out issues try clearing your browser cookies and cache.

Cheers.

Thanks for those suggestions. I'll look into trying them out...funny thing is I never have trouble with Chrome at any other website. I like Chrome because it's tied in with all of my G+ stuff and my email comes from three boxes to my gmail account...and I like the way gmail works. I always search Google anyway...so I might as well stay with Chrome as I think it's the best way to do what I do.
I lost faith in IE a long time ago with all of the security holes in it and continuous patches. Older versions aren't very stable in my experience...so maybe it's a perception thing with me but I like Chrome. It works everywhere but here.

Weird.  Whenever I want to reboot my browser, I just shake it over my head.
