Google celebrates Les Paul

I've always wanted a Les Paul....could never afford one.  At least the one that has the fastest action I've even seen.

I remember getting a plastic album out of a magazine that had a demo of the Studio Les Paul.  Picked up some neat chops off that demo.

Mine are long gone.  The first was a '76 Les Paul - same burst as Page's, yada yada yada...  Then came a custom Emerald Green '99 Studio Double-cut 20 years later (bought the day I sold the '76 LP - NEVER sell something while standing in a Guitar Center, the money never leaves with you!).  Finally I had a nice 2001 Les Paul Classic 1960's Reissue (Honeyburst).

The shape of the Double-cut became the template for the bodies on my custom guitars...

Love that Google interactive logo though!

I had a '70s LesPaul deluxe, deep wine red with the slim pickups.  Looked beautiful, sounded beautiful, heavy as hell.  Stolen in 1989

Now have a LesPaul Dark Fire (with Dusk Tiger firmware upgrade) and I love it (and play it)

I've been trying to play their icon all day.
It's a weird setup, i can't figure out the reasoning for the string setup they have.
It's in C major though, going from a C up to an E...

I had a LP for a couple of years, but it got relegated to "backup" status because my Tele felt so much better.  That didn't seem fair, so I sold it to a better home.

That's okay, Slugbaby.  I just played your online avatar by dragging my cursor across your strings, and I don't think I've ever sounded that good before.
