Grammy Announcement

I posted this in the goodnews sticky above but I wanted to make sure my fellow Cakewalkians didn't miss it.

Soooooo........

I’ve had the pleasure of working with an awesome talent by the name of (not sure I can say online at this point) . Well she’s on the ballet for a grammy in 4 catagories for 2 tracks produced by yours truly.

Had to remove details until I know it's ok to post publicly. PM me if you want to know more about it. Sorry.

Hey, that's so cool. Congratulations, Terrence!

(Hope I spelled your name correctly. It's spelled differently in your profile from the announcement you just quoted).

Nicely done. Thanks for not keeping this to yourself.

Now, just make sure the artist mentions you and CW in their acceptance speech!

Wow, that is really great news! Congrats. I've heard your music and productions (I was very close to buying some of your tracks for an r&b project I was working on) and I've recommended you to a few people over the years. So I guess you owe me! Just kidding. You do great work and I'm glad you are getting acknowledged (big as it gets too!).

Dayammmmm, that's great news. There's a ton of talent here at the CW forum; it's inspiring to see one of our own get recognized. We should have a "Hall of Fame" thread for this kinda stuff.

Thanks for all of your kinds words and encouragement. You guys are awesome.

Now let me just bring a little clarity as to exactly where we are in the process. We've made it onto the nominating ballet which was voted on yesterday (11/5). Winners from this round move the next round where academy members vote for the winners in each category. Nominees will be announced on 12/5. So hopefully we got pass yesterday's voting. No matter how it turns out I'm having a blast using Cakewalk software to make music and will continue to do so. But I gotta admit it's pretty cool seeing your name on the nominating ballet. Anyway, as soon a I here something (good or bad) I'll let you know.

I do hope you're a NARAS member and have been soliciting votes from fellow members!

BTW, I'm a NARAS member and I know of no reason why you can't at least mention the artist's name. Those of us who belong to NARAS might be interested in considering her material. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck.
