Graphical refresh problem

I'm testing Sonar X2 and I experience some refresh graphical issues.
On the main screen clips on track remain often lighted after being selected end deselected... moving the mouse and passing the vertical "current position" line over them restore the good colour progressively.

A similar thing always happens when I use the scrub tool in the piano roll window. When I move the mouse the vertical line is overprinted repeatedly (it seems like before a problem of refresh) and things are restored only once the mouse button is released.

Tried on 2 different PCs with X2 32bit on Win7 x64 one with GFX 460 the other with ATI 5790 with latest driver available.

Anyone else with the same problem?
Many thanks

    Yup, not as bad as your screenshot but in other windows as well (I have this problem in track view).

    I hope this one was on the bakers list for the next update.

    I've been getting similar horizontal lines in the Drum Maps window.

    A few things... 1) That stopped happening to me as much as soon as I installed the Quickfix (have not tried X2a yet but probably will this week). 2) I enabled the controller pane in the PRV to get the velocity lines off of the grid. The velocity lines seem to be the biggest annoyance as far as graphical glitches. Once they are gone you don't get that pile of ghost lines. 3) Do you have a dedicated video card? It doesn't have to be anything fancy (I have a Gigabyte I picked up for $20 with 1GB of RAM). It might help a bit. 4) I've seen quite a few people mentioning they had to adjust their graphic settings. Like if you have an Nvidia driven card go into the driver software and tinker with it. If you google cakewalk forums + graphics settings you might be able to find those threads. Sorry I don't remember exactly what they did. 5) Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. 6) Try increasing your audio buffers if you are just inputting data manually. 7) You could try clearing the Sonar graphics cache (or whatever it's called). Again I'm not sure how this is done but I've seen others mention it. That said the easiest way to get rid of the lines is to just make sure the velocity controllers are isolated in the controller pane. It's a lot easier to view anyway even without the graphical glitches IMO. Cheers.

    I think it's a bug in the way sonar handles the vertical line/cursor while scrubbing.
    Sonar does a complete redisplay of the pane when you let go of the mouse which tells me they took the easy way out.

    I get the mess whether the controller pane is visible or not.

    Trying this out just now, I've become permanently stuck in scrub mode. The mouse will only scrub, whether I hold the j key or not, and the mouse icon is the speaker.

    Clicking outside the pane does not fix the problem. If I insert a new track and bring up the PRV for it, I'm still stuck in scrub mode for the new track.

    Restarting Sonar fixed it.

    X2b please.

    Hi, Paul. Even when you have the controller pane minimized so it's not visible? Hmm... there are also some hide velocity tail/controller options in the PRV menu. Not sure if that will help. I'm kind of wondering if X2a will reintroduce this behavior (I'm on Quickfix). Unfortunately there are lots of little quirks like this while using the PRV. It was pretty frustrating trying to learn how to use it properly with this type of graphical stuff happening. The restart fixing it makes me think that clearing the graphics cache might fix it without having to restart. Just a thought... but yeah, another patch would be nice.

    Oh and I never use scrub. It doesn't work properly. It's all clicky/erratic if it works at all. I just set my now time to where I want and check that way.

    Thanks to everybody, at least now I know I'm not the only one with the problem.

    @Beepster
    Thanks for your support. Unfortunately it happens with X1a parch applied, latest video driver on Nvidia GFX 460 and ATI 5790 and also without the velocity pane enabled.

    @Paul P
    I think that the stuck scrub mode is not a bug. The scrub mode is not a "while pressed" function but the scrub tool is activated when you press J. Then you need to reselect another tool, like the star for instance, to deactivate it.
    Honestly I don't understand why they removed the scrub tool button like it was in 8.5 so that now I can activate it only with keyboard.
