Graphics cards for big display monitors
I would like to treat myself and move from a 2x24" monitor setup to a single, large monitor so that I can see my track view, console view and plugins side by side all at once without shuffling between them in the crowded 24" screen space.
I like the idea of a 4K 50" display monitor (3840x2160) but need to know more about this.
For example, will the 3840x2160 screen resolution mean that I will see the same as I had on a single 1920x1080 24" monitor but just blown up to fill the 50" space or will it be displayed at the same visible size as it was on my 24" with lots of desktop available around it for the other stuff?
I'm guessing this will depend on the capacities of my video card... in which case, can anyone recommend a video card (along with any connectivity and other contextual tips) that will enable what I want?
Thanks to all in advance.
