Great Deal on Alchemy

50% off according to a post on KVR.  Hopefully this means that version 2 is just around the corner.

One I would normally recommend buying secondhand as it comes up regular but that's a great price and a welcome surprise. Buy it!

I actually did buy it second hand a few years back (can't resell the license this way) and actually got it for about this price + a couple of libraries included. Getting it second hand now, should be a real steal!! :)

it's 50% off till December the 31st...so I'll wait I think.. as my GAS the past few days has been silly... synthmaster (full) + komplete 9 u + a few cheaper hornet ones :)

I own some of the libraries, so would like it to be that it discounted the full complete one.. I guess I'll have to look if they do transfers etc.

$124 is a super price ...so if I save about 5 or 6 bucks a day till eom, that'll hit the price point.

Now lets see, what can I do without....food is pretty overrated, right?

If you like sound design, this is the synth.  Incredible price.  And if you like weird, anything by biomechanical will have you in love.  But there are lots of free user libraries onsite, inlcuding samples, and they are pretty good.  Also, they put the libraries on sale pretty often.

It was funny, last month I was layering on a sound w/ alchemy, playing the pad, and looked at the name of the patch maker.  It was Patchen Preston, a buddy of mine.  When I wrote him, he said it gave him the warm fuzzies to know people were actually using his patch.

Right now the only thing preventing me from buying is that I can't decide which bonus library to select.

To be honest, all of their sound libraries are really, really good. With Alchemy, I believe you get a few presets from each soundset with the various instrumentation to play/test.....not to mention the large soundbank that Alchemy already comes with. I have Vintage Himalaya, Big Tone, Taste of Camel, Planet Earth and a bunch of other freebies that Camel gifts us from time to time.
Big Tone has some really good sounds that are very useful and musical.......but then again, aren't they all?

Just check out the Audio Demo's......

I chose Junkie XL.  I haven't had a chance to play with it that much but so far it seems to have a good range of high quality sounds.
