Great Read !

Just wanted to share - I have been reading what I think is a great book on recording: "Big Studio Secrets for Home Recording and Production" by Joe Dochtermann. His way of explaining things is very comprehensive, yet an easy read, with great tips and ideas. The book comes with a Course Technology DVD I have not even got to yet (and can't wait) since I've been so involved in absorbing what he writes and illustrates in the book....  Besides the technical aspects of recording, there are chapters devoted to song writing, arrangement and production.... way good..!

Thanks

Thanks for posting this Silvercn, sounds good, it is easier to actually watch someone in the process of mixing than it is to read all the technical stuff.  I will check it out.

Hmm....still don't see any mention of a DVD. Was this disc one of those glued to the back inside cover of the book ?  Well, just looking over the chapter titles, it definitely looks to be well worth the price tag. Thanks again Silvercn

The DVD is in a case actually attached to the binding - yes in the back cover. So you have to tear it off at the perforations to open it. The 13 digit ISBN # is: 978-1-4354-5505-4. As an address they have on the inside cover - cengage.com
