Great enhancement idea! (I think) Build your own custom Channel strip and link it to proch

I dont know how to say this clearly so I am going to give a run at a couple different ways.
 
I would love to be able to switch out the actual processing behind prochannel.  It would look like this.
 
Be able to load your own vst effects behind prochannel and tie the controls together like it was an intermediate controller.  So everytime I make a new audio track Sonar automatically loads the compressor, EQ, reverb of my choice.  so If I want to use waves api compressor and vintage EQ and oxford reverb they are loaded on my setup by default.

RTM - Isnt that called an Effects Chain?

Could be a cool idea Jackal but very difficult to implement.. Every plugin has different controls, even if you can map the knobs/buttons/meters to correspond to one set of alternates it would be impossible to do it for every available comp/eq/distortion.

As ol'mate above so politely implied, you could use effects chains to load the plugs you want.
