Great mouse for X1!!! Thanks to one of our users PedalPoint for sharing!

Just in case anyone finds this as useful as I did.  You can bind the buttons to your favorite Sonar commands.
I just picked mine up at best buy and am loving it. Thanks again, PedalPoint.

had one of these for a couple of weeks and it fits right in to my flow. i'm surprised more gaming controllers don't find their way to daw applications. seems to me that all these keyboard shortcuts are supposed to eliminate mousework, but if i had my choice, i would get rid of the keyboard in favour of enhanced mouse function.

I agree!!!!!! With my Naga mouse and my Alphatrack, I barely have to use the keyboard---except for typing

So far, I'm loving it.  I've programmed all the commands I use most and it really makes things very easy.  especially because when you come up with your own button-bindings you tend to remember which button does what faster than remembering that such a key on your keyboard does this, etc.  Although I know you can make up your own key bindings, but it's just easier this way for me. Plus I keep my left hand on the Alphatrack.

It makes it really easy to navigate. I assigned the inspector, show/ hide bus pane, control bar, zoom in/out (both vertical and horizontal), and the tools I use most (smart, split, mute) so it really improves my workflow. Plus, the middle button (scroll wheel) brings up the tool hud anyway if I want to acces other tools. It just ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cable is pretty sweet though. It's like a cloth guitar cable, not a regular rubber cable--so it doesn't stick to other surfaces and it's preety long. But I understand the need for wireless.

I don't think so, but if you were to use the thumb for the track ball, wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Because the whole point is to be able to click the side buttons with your thumb while navigating. Perhaps you mean one with the buttons on the top? Maybe I'm wrong. I've never used one of those.

Do you mean Zoom in/out horizontaly? If so, I programmed that into 2 buttons. when I hold them it zooms either in or out.  If that's not what you mean, explain it to me in more detail and I'll let you know.

Yeah, the button arrangement would have to be quite different to accompdate the normal MS Trackball set up.

I checked out their site and didn't see any with a trackball. Sorry. Someone has to make something. Maybe do a search for gaming trackball mouse. The hard part is probably going to be finding something with as many programable buttons as the Naga. I hope you find one.

Hasn't been an issue for me. That can also happen using the keyboard anyway.  You can always hit undo.  I guess it depends on what you program it to control.

One of my sons bought one of these recently for his World of Warcraft exploits. I must admit I never thought about the possible DAW application for the same mouse. He did tell me unfortunately that they dont do a left handed model which as a lefty myself is a shame. I will check this fact out though on their website

Yeah I watched the vid on this, I'd love to see a vid of someone working with SONAR using this (hint )

I've also glanced at the Nostromo controller, which is pretty frickin' hardcore lookin'. Again, I think I'd have to see one in action to be swayed.
