Groove Quantize From Audio Files Of Finished/Published Songs?

Hello,

I know how Groove quantize works when the source is MIDI, but I was wondering if there is a way to somehow get the groove of an audio file (like with Abelton's Groove Pool) and use it with groove quantize or a similar feature?

Thank You!

you could try extracting the midi from audio using melodyne.

Also audiosnap copies the rhythms from audio clips for groove quantizing. (The Copy as MIDI button)

thanks for pointing me to audiosnap.  I see some tutorials put out 7 yrs ago, but i wonder if there is a better/easier way to do this now.

Seems like this works for parts of songs, like if I could extract the drums only, yea - but what if i want the groove of a song that is mixed and published?

I think we still might be a few light years away from that technology.
I do see it though someday in the future and it would be awesome.
Also believe someday we will be able to load up a collection of our favorite artists songs and an advanced AI will be able to create new songs by that artist just by analyzing the existing ones.
Cant wait to do this with Aerosmith "Get your wings". Probably my favorite album of all time.

we aren't light years away...   every DAW has this option.  Abelton live has Groove Pools which extract the groove from any audio file.  Comes pre-loaded with a bunch of drum loops too.
