Groove clip - Can't make one

Hey Guys,
I have a background vocal, three part harmony that I want to groove clip so I can use it in a re-do of the song with different tempo and key.  Have consulted the users manual and Groove3 tutorial and searched this forum but still can't figure it out.  When I double click on the clip, the loop construction view opens but there are no buttons for "enable looping" etc, like those shown in the users manual and the tutorial.  Tried the clip inspector and no luck there either.  Cannot enable looping, set BPM or number of beats.  Help please!!
Larry

Is it a v-vocal clip or have audiosnap active on it? They are all mutually exclusive.

Thanks for the reply Karl and Scook.  It is a regular audio clip not V-Vocal.  I already see the Loop Construction view but it seems to be an incomplete view since I do not see the buttons referred to and displayed in the users manual and m3 tutorial.

Close the Loop Construction View - it's not what you want.

In Track view do what scook said - highlight the clip then Ctrl + L

Make sure the clip is an exact number of measures.

    Guys,
Still struggling.  Closed Loop Construction.  In the track view I highlighted the clip. Did Ctrl-L and nothing happened.  PLEASE HELP.

Just right click the clip and select Groove Clip Looping. If its not there, the clip you're selecting may be too large. You may have to split it at some point and try that.

You can also right click the selected clip and. Goose from thereby that pops up.
The shape of the clip changes to now have rounded corners. Simply click and drag the clip out to how long you want it to loop.

You can also right click a clip to enable looping. Also in the track inspector under Groove Clips.

Thanks everyone.  Still having problems.  The problem was that AudioSanp was preventing Ctrl-L and right clicking etc from working.  I now have a groove clip that I can work with to try to get it to synch with my project in terms of pitch and tempo.  Trial and error for awhile.  Still have not been able to see the buttons that the users manual "promises"  Thanks again!!!

You'll find that in addition to Audiosnap, you can't Groove Clip V-Vocal clips either.

The solution for both of these is to bounce to clip before making the clip into a Groove Clip (and trimming to an exact number of measures)
