Groove clip/loops distortion "[Solved]"

I recently suffered a hard-drive crash on my pc which pretty much wiped me out, nonetheless I got it repaired and loaded Sonar back onto my pc. However  I am now sufferering with distortion/clipping when using groove clips/WAV loops, when previously I had no problems.
I'm guessing this is down to recording levels, but I'm not quite sure how to adjust this when not using an interface or instrument; prior to my pc crashing groove clips/loops just seemed to able to be imported and automatically find the correct level.

Any advice welcolme.

I'm not quite sure how to adjust this when not using an interface

Does this mean the before the crash the PC used an audio interface like the Focusrite in your sig but now the PC uses the internal sound chip?

Define "distortion." Is it clipping, or more like aliasing? If you bounce to clip, are the waveforms flat-topped? What happens if you reduce the track's fader? What happens when you reduce the master fader?

Also, I'm amazed you can get away with 2GB of RAM...you might want to consider upgrading as soon as you can.

Thanks for the reply, probably a poor description on my part, what I'm getting is a distortion on the groove clips that sounds similar to a speaker being overloaded. reducing the track or main faders has no effect.
I'm still using my Focusrite interface, but when using groove clips or loops I usually drag and drop them into the track pane.
As I say before the crash, using this method I never had a problem, so I'm just wondering whether I've just got something set wrong, but not quite sure what.

OK, the audio still relies on the Focusrite for playback. Double check the Driver Mode in Preferences > Audio > Playback and Record and the Focusrite ASIO buffer settings.
