I took the entire course on Compression and it was excellent. I also took the section on Mixing in the X2 course and now I can't wait to use Fx Chains. I also learned a ton of features and functions I didn't know about in X2. Awesome!

I have been going through the Ozone 5 videos. I have learned so much. The BFD Explained videos look great too. I also want to try the Alloy videos.

Z3ta2 explained, Waves musician bundle explained, all the music theory videos, plug in videos, mastering videos...man oh man. 1 month will not be long enough! This is going to be a busy month.

I am embarassed by what I did not know Sonar X2 can do.  I have definitely been doing things the hard way for the last 2 years.  X2 Explained is very good.

Trillian videos are fantastic as well.  Also amazed at what Trillian can do that I did not know.

Marcus Curtis:  Last night, immediatley after I watched the Ozone video series, I marched into my music room, opened a project I have been struggling with mastering, rest Ozone, and started to apply/use what I learned in the videos, first used the eq matching, and then clicked "Learn" to pick the crossover points in the compressor, limiter, and set compressors using the Historgram, and added maximizer into it, and then followes by a little post eq, to match the eq with the "matched" sample. 2 things happened. 1) It made me realize I needed to change a couple of minor things in the mix (Bring the bass guitar up a tiny bit and bring the guitars down a tiny bit, 2) even though I needed to change a couple of things, this is the BEST any of my mixes has ever sounded thus far. Immediate results.  Knowledge is power....who woulda thought!?  LOL

That is so cool! I am having a similar experience. I wish I would have know about the learn function a long time ago. However this just confirms to me just how little I really know. The Historgram is a great feature. My mixes are sounding better too because of the things I am learning.

I want to try some of the dither features in Ozone. I have not got that far yet. My plan is to bounce a master mix to a stereo track. Then insert Ozone for mastering, mixing and exporting. multiband stereo widening is a great feature too. I like to keep the lower frequencies in the middle and widen the higher frequencies in the sides. This has a great effect.

I am so glad I bought Ozone. I remember the struggle I had trying to decide if I should purchase it.

Got a one-year pass for a Christmas present ... one of the best gifts I've ever received.

Kontakt owners should *not* miss the groove3 series on that instrument.  It's the best tutorial I've come across so far, although the X2 tutorial videos are certainly well worth the time spent, even if you think you know your way around already.

EQ explained is good too, I am half way through the compression course. There is a lot of review and stuff I forgot but also some really cool information I did not know. The mix courses are great too. Mix 101, mixing rock, and mixing Urban pop are awesome too. Music theory explained,  music tech piano, and drums explained are also awesome.

I am like a kid in a toy store here! I agree with everyone else. This is by far the best thing the content club has offered!
