Thanks for the post.  This might actually be the first video tutorial I buy before buying the product.  I hope it works well with Sonar.

If you buy downloads at Groove3 there's a BOGO sale on so you'll get another one free. Can't confirm how it works in Sonar as I'm a Mac victim.

Ya beat me to it, Fleer. Here are the 6 video descriptions. I haven't watched the second one yet (use in Logic and Abelton Live), so I can't speak to how much value it will be for SONAR users. I'm guessing that's where LoopBe1 or LoopMIDI will come it.

    Xfer Cthulhu Explained

Larry Holcombe shows you how to release the awesome power of Xfer Record’s Cthulhu chord generation plug-in! Learn all of its features and functions, as well as see it in action, so you know exactly how to use it effectively in your songs and productions.

    Videos

Introduction (00:38) - Welcome to the video series on Xfer Records Cthulhu! Larry goes over the basics of Cthulhu and what it can do for your productions.

Cthulhu in Logic & Ableton Live (04:42) - Larry shows you how to use Cthulhu as a MIDI effect in Logic and using the Mac MIDI driver to record these chords as individual notes, and then covers setting up Cthulhu in Ableton Live and achieving the same results.

The Chords Module Pt. 1 (08:56) - Larry now explores and explains Cthulhu's Preset Types, Velocity and the steps to alter chords. You'll also discover how to learn your own chords using the learn function.

The Chords Module Pt. 2 (09:34) - Watch and see how to Copy/Paste, use the Randomize feature, and the Chord Alteration Menu. Also learn a way of favoriting chords for later use, as well as removing or un-favoring chords.

The Arpeggiator Pt. 1 (09:26) - Now dive into the powerful Cthulhu Arpeggiator and learn all about the Arpeggiators Graph Mode, the Note Selection Tab and how to create unique arpeggiator rhythms. Muting steps and resetting the arpeggiator pattern, as well as using Retrigger for uniform patterns is also explained and shown!

The Arpeggiator Pt. 2 (15:47) - Larry now reveals the Graph Tabs and the Arpeggiation Randomization features. Also see how to Change Octaves and use Cthulhu to generate Velocity Modulation, as well as Introduce Groove and Add Harmony to your Arpeggiation.

Yes. It's the only way to learn the secret handshake required to connect it to SONAR.

So it's not debauchery? I'm pretty sure it's debauchery.

Kirnu Cream or this one, which is better.

I've only had the Kirnu Arp and not Cream, but do have Cthulhu (which does have a very powerful arp as well as a one finger chord player (great for us non-keyboardists))....also has some very good Bach Chorale presets.

Sometime back, there was a bug in K. Cream if you loaded more than 1 instance of it in Sonar, it crashed....not sure if this issue was resolved or not though.

    Demo them both I say....

Thanks for the post.  This might actually be the first video tutorial I buy before buying the product.  I hope it works well with Sonar.

I've held off on it.  As for setup in DAWs the documentation is beyond poor.  I managed to do in FL using Patcher.  As for other DAWs there are more than confusing videos on youtube that are not well done.  Apps like these seem to excel in poor documentation.  The tutorial only covers Live and Logic. I'd rather see a tutorial on how to set it up in most DAW instead of how to use the thing.

I really want to reup my subscription but I found I had emails turned off when my account lapsed so I never got an email with the resubscribe deal and the one they sent a couple months ago was meh. Still waiting on that $5.99/mo deal they sent me before. :(
