Group tracks X1

I want to group Tracks. How? It changed from 8.5 :( BTW, I looked in the help, didn't find this answer. Shouldn't Sonar come with a decent Manual, at least PDF? the help search engine included is very bad... Thanks

Not sure what you mean by grouping tracks. Tracks can be placed in folders. The pdf for X1 is here http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013228

Thanks for the Manual. that will help!!! Scook: I meant group tracks in a folder. No wonder I struggled to find the info when I was looking for "group tracks"... Even though the manual says: "you can group different types of tracks in their own folder: vocals, soft synths, ReWire instruments, drums, etc." I didn't find this line in my search

    Yup
In Track View, right click in the Track header area and you will have the option to add a folder.
    Name it
Select the Tracks you want in the folder, Right Click and select "Add to Folder ....."
It will put them in the folder and group them together on Console View

Another nice feature is that if you click on the folder and it selects all tracks in the folder,
You can then HOLD the CTRL key and move all Faders/Sliders at the same time

Thanks for the tip! BTW, this afternoon, I couldn't select many tracks with 'Shift'... that was why I couldn't create a folder. After my sesion I tried it again (selecting many tracks with shift) and it worked ?!? --------- bizarre
