Group tracks for editing?

Just wondering if there is an easy way to link tracks together to make it easier to edit them simultaneously?

I typically record a processed track and a clean track for reamping at the same time. I like coming back towards the end and dialing in my tones perfect as I mix. The problem is that it is a PITA to keep the two synced up as I edit. Especially when there are multiple takes, and trust me, there are always multiple takes. I am a songwriter, not a virtuoso musician, I do a lot of editing. Am I missing something simple, or is Sonar just not designed for someone at my level of guitar suckitude?

You can group tracks (clips) during recording:

Preferences > Project > Record > Multi-track grouping > Group all clips or Group only clips in folders (default).

    Edit to add:
And if you want to group existing clips, select all clips to be grouped and right click on one clip, choose:
Create selection group from selected clips

Well this was on the right track, but not really doing what I want. It worked at first but then the tracks got out of sync and there was no going back...

By "out of sync", do you mean that editing one clip would not do the same editing to the other clips of the same group?
Or do your multi-recorded tracks run "out of sync", timewise?
    Sorry, have to ask...
