Guilty music pleasures

I'm sure everyone has a desperately uncool song they love in secret. Well my secret's out. I just can't get enough of this Eurovision Song Contest entry from the Dutch in 1975. There, I've said it.

There is nothing wrong with that imo.reminded me of Abba which I like also. Mine is Caruso, sung by many, although some may like it. Did not find a good version where Pavarotti sings it so could not put it here.

Yikes.  "Dancing Queen" is one of my own, but in all fairness to myself that last chorus is a perfect "wall of sound" on vinyl.

I have guiltier pleasures though.  I can eloquently get through a 5 minute Archie's & Partridge Family musical conversation without blinking.

I've had this catchy refrain in my head from time to time, good to know where it came from!

My guilty song pleasure is a song that pops up in my head a lot (sorry if I give it over to you as well). My wife often comments "Can't you humm another song sometimes?" Of course it's Tarzan boy by Baltimora:

A really good and funny song= winner in my books because it makes you possibly smile or even laugh. The animation was cool too.

I've never been shy to confess my likings. In the early 70´s it was completely uncool for a prog-hippie to like the Sweet (and some other Chinn-Chapman-stuff), but I kept praising the quality of the vocals and the unsamed catchyness of the songs. My bandmates also laughed at me because I loved Ray Charles and Shirley Bassey.
And many Eurovision participants too (I liked, I mean, not that they laughed at me   )

But that Ding-dinge-dong.....c'moooon :o)

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

You gotta see the film "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" ... fun fun!!!

Hard to say ... but mine would probably be something like the Kinks ... I wanna be like ... david watts ... or a whole bunch of the that "Something Else" album. Other than that, one of my faves ... "Itchicoo Park", but their album "Ogden's Nut Gone Flakes" is still on my "top ten, if I had one. The Moody Blues "Days of future Passed" also is in that list.

Heck ... the first album in its entirety ... all the way to tribes go to war ... it's a magnificent album! In the CD, it would be the first half.

Total fun, and I have always wanted to get a band and stage that ... it would be incendiary to say the least. And I will make Miley blush for being such a teasing witch!
