Guitar Center 49th Anniversary sale...

I got a flyer recently from GC about yet another sale thingy. Usually when I get these I just quickly peruse them and then...if nothing pops up...discard them. This month's flyer had some $30 buck synths from sugarbytes and image line. I checked all the ones I didn't already have out on you tube and was about to delete the flyer when I popped up some demos on Image Line Sawer. YMMV but I liked what I heard. For thirty semolians, think ill pick this one up. Give it a listen and see what you think.

Where you come from is gone...where you thought you were goin to weren't never there...and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it.

fair warning the GC synths as well as Musician Friends (owned by GC) are physical shipment only.  they send you a DVD case with a card with serial and you then download and register the software (no physical DVD at all).

not a huge deal but if you order online you have to wait for mail of physical card before you can download, reg and play.

Listening to Sawer (short examples here) I don't hear anything you couldn't do with the free Charlatan synth.

Times have sure changed. I've caught myself bemoaning that Zebra has only four envelope generators and I wanted five. Sawer, being an old-school emulation has but one. I'd be pulling my hair out programming that thing, and I have none to spare.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
