Guitar Fret Board Generator Software Help
Does anyone use fret board generator software? Which do do like? I'm tired of writing out chord and scale diagrams. Thanks for any advice on where to go and It doesn't need to be free software as long as it does what I need. THANKS!

Are you looking for something that draws tablature symbols or what?

I'm drawing up 3 note quartal harmony chords for use on Maj7, Min7/Dom7, Half dim7, And Altered 7 for my Grandson. It was be nice to punch the notes in and be able to transpose.

guitar scientist seems to be the one for me even though I have to create the fingerings. I couldn't find any quartal harmony on any. Mostly standard modes etc. I will stay with this till I find something that generates chord scales

Here's another http://www.neckdiagrams.com/$25 Standard $49 Pro Nice digrams but the Standard version doesn't export to clipboard or PDF which made it almost useless for me.

Worth a try. Lot of interesting stuff out there on quartal harmony. Got some reading to do. About time I learned how to use the chord wheel counterclockwise! Just found this: http://www.chorderator.com/ You need to know the names of the quartal chords (e.g., Em7add11), but this might work. There's also a Scalerator page (linked from Chorderator), but that didn't appear to be useful for your purpose, unless one of the modal key selections works.

John - for me it's not important to learn the names of the chords as it is to use them in a sequence of movements and getting familiar with the sound. There's a fret board full of them with the Maj and Min scales. The great thing is you use them to sub just like any other pentatonic, blues, maj or minor scale. I think, IMHO, they work most effectively as 3 note chords. Once you learn the basic forms then the notes can be inverted and that opens even more to play with. I've been using them for decades and I love that sound

Neck diagrams every time.
Wish I had bought it a long time ago.
I teach many students at a music school and find it invaluable. They love it, too.
