Guitar Rig and Channel Tools goes POP

I was getting an annoying load POP when opening a project.  After a whole lot of searching for the source it ended up being having an active Guitar rig and a Channel tools in the FX bin.  After I bounced the guitar rig track down to a new track and then applied the Channel tools to it there was no problem.  The order in the FX bin did not change the pop except for the volume of it.

I am not sure if it is something peculiar to my setup, settings in Guitar rig, if the 2 just don't play nice together, or if this is a known occurrence that I am unaware of.

I would get an occasional similar situation in 8.5 but I never had isolated the cause previously.

    Here what I did

    start new project
    load GR4
    load channel tools
    Record something
    Save
    Open
    render

No problems here. Did I do something different that what you described? Is it a particular setting?

    Thanks for  trying chris.
I had 2 instances of quitar rig 1 using Accoustic shimmer,  other a mix and match.
Each track had channel tools on it.
Both tracks did the same thing.

When the project opened the click caused a jump in the meters on both the track and channel tools.

I am done for the night now so tomorrow I will try it with different G-rig settings to see if that has a bearing.

    Thanks for trying.

My Channel Tools pops in some project, too.
Next time I'll check if there was Guitar Rig in the project.

Ok, I tried some different G-rig settings(basic jazz) and that does not make any difference.  Still get the pop.
I eliminated all the other variables I could think of; turned off all pro-channel stuff. changed settings in G-rig etc.

If I start project with channel tools turned on and G-rig off it doesn't pop when it opens but as soon as I turn on G-rig it pops then.  If I have G-rig on at start up and channel tools off, then turn on channel tools - no pop at start up or turning on channel tools.

On one occasion with both it didn't pop on start up but popped on the first output note on that track.

When I am talking about the pop, it is enough to leave the retained clipping red mark at the top of the master bus meter.
