Guitar Shred instrumental (yes another - last one for now haha) "At Nebula's End"

http://tindeck.com/listen/gfrx

Finished this late 2010 as well, and never posted it here. It will be on my upcoming solo CD. This is the draft, the final version was re-recorded and has better drums sounds.

Any and all comments are appreciated!
This was recorded with my McNaught Phoenix Rising guitar and the Fractal Audio Axe-Fx Ultra (no mics, no guitar cabinets).  My the way, the lead guitar in the entire last section has a subtle harmonizer on it. I rather like the sound of it!

Congrats...you've made a new fan. I really like the feel of this, the tone, the harmonies, the mood...very cool. I was a big Vinnie Moore, Tony Macalpine, Reb Beach, Marty Friedman, and Jason Becker fan. You've got elements of each in your technique. Recording this yourself is great...imagine what a huge studio can do for your sound. I like what you are doing here. Keep it up!

Thanks Jeff, wow you mentioned a lot of greats there. It's very humbling and good to hear at the same time. I'm not holding out for a huge studio to record me lol. I'll just keep working at my craft and improving mixing / writing / recording and get to almost that level hopefully.  Remember that my final mix sounds quite a bit better! I don't even use the same drum sounds then.

At 1st I thought   "Oh No another guitar Hero".  But then this turns out to have some great playing and sound.  I want to hear this with better drums.  Great tune.  I like it a lot.

If you can fill a whole album with songs that sound this good,  you are going places.

    Good Luck!

another superb song, only thing i would comment on is trying to find a killer original riff a la Satch/Vai, just to make it more of a song than a long lead. but you certainly have the chops!

I totally agree with Jeff's comments and your melodic playing is........just music to my ears!! LOL... I truly appreciate the "shredding" when it's melodic and phrased well (thus, I became a big Marty Friedman/Megadeth fan) and you're well on your way with your gifted talent to bigger things. Mgh has a good point in having a cool/catchy riff that makes the tune stand out......
I'd also like to hear it with the better drums and many more tunes from you.
    Keep it up!!!

Really good guitar work.  i like the chord progressions too.  Do you have any vocals on your CD.  Semms like a totally instrtumental CD is difficult to pull off but after listening to this I believe you just might do it!!
