Guitar practicing and external stompboxes

I am very interesrted in the V-Studio 20. it is an ideal tool for practicing with backingtracks? So can I set loops in a backing to training a solo over and over and can I low down the speed of the track by 50%? Can I use my favorite external pedals in front of the guitar input or get I hardware clipping? THX for answer :-)
