Guitar rig 3

Am  new to this so please forgive, just bought the VS 100 with relevant software, i recorded guitar (dry) through the vs 100 then added guitar rig as an effect, which was fine but i cant work out how to play straight into guitar rig to record direct, please help

    upper left corner you will see a + when you create a track, hit the + icon and it will show up with a menu for AUDIO TRACK or SOFT SYNTH , click AUDIO and a drop down menu appears with several routing options , click on guitar rig 3 , and dont forget to click your audio input in the track to on or you won"t hear your guitar through 1-2 out or your headphones...hope this helps
