Guitar sounds

Does Sonar X3 have it's own preset guitar sound that I can manipulate and use for my guitar tracks? If so, how do I use it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "preset guitar sound". Sonar contains several softsynths with guitar patches (dim pro, dropzone), a dedicated acoustic guitar vsti and loops of guitar phrases and chords. It also contains various guitar effects.

You need to look into TH2. Th2 is a whole guitar modelling suite that comes with many presets and is shipped with Sonar.

Insert it as an effect on the guitar track and happy playing!

And TH2 Sonar version which is a good amp sim.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

be aware though it is an effect only - you need some guitar notes on the track using a guitar sound to start with.

There are guitar pro channel presets. Some were created by Craig Anderton I think.

Also, you'll need strings on the guitar. :-)

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    Yes.

    1. Insert Dimension LE or PRO
    2. Click the "Empty Program" window at the top - a Browser will appear
    3. Click #08 - Guitars
    4. Select any patch that suits you. There are acoustic and electric samples.

Dimension allows for 4 layers of samples called "Elements" so you can mix and match them to make up different sounds. Or you can use the 4 slots to audition different sounds for a given track.

Rapture works the same way but has 6 "Elements".
